Vero Scams & Problems
Lets face it if you’ve ever sold downloads then you’ve probably come across those extremely greedy and down right dirty sellers who will do anything to crush their competition.
These sellers don’t want to compete fairly they want you to stop selling and will illegally use Vero Rights Programme to claim ownership to a particular sector of the market even though they have absolutely no right to do so.
Its happened to us on many occaisions and more so its happened to many of our friends and colleagues so much so that they have requested us to post a few articles to cover some of the incidents that have happened to them over the last few years. Oh and believe us its happening more and more every day!
Some names that come to mind are VHSManuals, ICB NetSolutions and many others who use different email addresses and different identities each time they Vero.
Name & Shame Reports
Where we have enough data we will clearly name and shame the criminal party and expose them for what they are. You would be surprised how many upstanding powersellers are involved in this practice.
If you have a story that you would like to share please contact us or even post a comment on this thread to let others know. Its quite clear that eBay does nothing to stop these guys so sharing information about these guys and how to get around them is a step in the right direction.
Antiquebahia Vero Scammer
Next week we’ll be posting our first name and shame article on ebay Powerseller AntiqueBahia. We’ve got the emails and proof of his silly little games so if you’ve been veroed by him do let us know as you were probably only one of many victims.

Thanks for posting this, I got done by ICB Netsolutions recently, their email bounced once I tried to contact them.
I wrote an ebook on how to unlock a mobile phone and they said it was theirs and that they owned all rights to all items to do with mobile phone unlocking…
Im sooo angry… ebay doesnt care… and I dont even know who they are ??
Hi !
I have the same problem.
Reveiced message from ebay:
The rights owner, ICB NetSolutions, notified eBay that this listing violates intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of
this type of violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law.
Listing was unlocking guides too.
All my listings removed !!!
TERRIBLE !
Were you selling mobile phone unlock material ? And what email did they give you to contact them ?
Congrats, you must have brought some attention to “antiquebahia” because they are no longer a registered user on eBay!
Thanks for sharing
I’d prefer reading in my native language, because my knowledge of your languange is no so well.
ICB have recently claimed rights to all my speed camera update files on ebay. I have lost all my sales. Ebay say they are the rights owner, yet I created and own the copyright to these files. ICB ignore all my emails.
Help!
You should contact ebay and tell them you want a “Vero Notice Counter Claim”. they will send you the form, you fill it out & fax it back to ebay. They then contact the person who filed the vero claim, they have a certain length of time to file a law suit injunction to stop you relisting the item. I think its only 7 days or something that they have. If they dont file a lawsuit then eBay will reinstate your account. I have just done this process & got my account back after being told I was never to be allowed back on eBay!
Good Luck
Indeed filing a counter notice is the way to go, and I think its 14 days but its well worth it. As ebay will remove the black mark against your name.
Funny thing is ebay make it really difficult for you to find this form, and dont even have it up on their website, they just email it to you.
Anyhow I’ve filed counter notices around 9-10 times and all were successfull. No one really files a court case so dont worry.
